Healthcare PR agency expands team with new appointment of senior account manager

Former Sectra marketing manager Rebecca Mellor joins Highland Marketing to help clients spread vital healthcare innovations across the NHS

PR and marketing agency Highland Marketing has named Rebecca Mellor as a senior account manager, as the company expands the team to support its growing activity with healthcare clients.

Mellor brings 10 years’ experience in healthcare technology to the role, having previously worked as UK and Ireland marketing manager for Swedish medical IT company Sectra.

With a detailed understanding of how to position the benefits of technology to the NHS, Mellor will provide guidance and support to clients to help them meet their objectives. With experience of the full marketing mix in a B2B environment, she will provide strategic planning and tactical support to clients, helping to accelerate marketing and sales results and improve customer retention.

Highland Marketing CEO Mark Venables said: “As a dedicated partner for healthcare technology organisations that want to make a real difference with their innovations, our experience and knowledge of the healthcare sector and our wealth of marketing and PR skills, are vital assets. Rebecca further strengthens the knowledge and skills within the Highland Marketing team and with it brings a passion and mission to support technology vendors and the NHS.”

Mellor rose to the position of marketing manager during her 10 years at Sectra. During the same period, the company quadrupled in size. Through a focus on customer needs, relationship building and strategic brand positioning, Mellor supported the organisation in becoming one of the top three suppliers for medical imaging and diagnostic technology in the UK.

Commenting on the new role, she said: “Being part of the Highland Marketing team provides me with a new opportunity to promote a strong variety of game changing technologies now needed by the NHS. Technology innovation in healthcare impacts all of us and I look forward to supporting many more innovators in propelling their technology to the stage it deserves so that it can achieve maximum impact for better patient care.”
